  1. Group Classes
The class is fun and gets the community together! Our classes are held outdoors at local parks, trails, and apartment complexes. Training with your dog outdoors is challenging and we are here to help. Your dog will learn basic manners like sitting for greeting, down on command, walk on a loose leash, and calmly walk by squirrels and bunnies. You will learn skills to help you and your dog enjoy the great outdoors. Specialty classes such as Tasmanian Dog helps owners who are frustrated with their dog barking, lunging, growling, or snapping at other dogs or people when out walking. Our advanced classes are offered for owners who want to work towards the Canine Good Citizen title or AKC Tricks title.
  2. Private Lessons
We help you teach your dog to sit, be quiet, chew bones, stop digging in the garden, play with toys, walk on a loose leash and to race to you! Whether you have a new puppy that is driving you crazy, a rescue dog that needs help adjusting, or you just want to give your dog more mental stimulation, we can help you reach your goals! Enjoy the convenience and value of a trainer coming to your home or out on walks! We offer customized plans, flexible scheduling, and one-on-one instruction. Savor your success as your dog learns to be calm and listen to you making your home life more pleasurable. Got a Puppy? Ask us about our puppy program.
  3. Behavior Modification
Some dog behaviors can be frustrating and dangerous. Behaviors like barking, separation anxiety, resource guarding, dog-dog, and dog-people aggression, and biting, need training solutions that cannot be addressed in a traditional group class. Dogs experiencing behavioral issues are similar to individuals with PTSD. There are triggers that provoke emotions and make it difficult for the dog to think and learn. Our trainer has a background in psychology and animal behavior and can help identify your dog's triggers and help you modify your dogs emotional state from anxiousness, fear, or anger to a calm dog that looks to you for guidance and instruction. Client Guarantee

We are often asked if our dog training services are guaranteed.  Clever Canine LLC services are designed to meet individual needs of our clients’ and their dogs. Successful execution of those services depends on a mutual understanding and a level of commitment and compliance of the owner.  We guide and support you through the dog training process giving you the skills to train your dog.  Through your continued practice, you will see results.

Professional, ethical dog trainers do not guarantee dog behavior and here's why:
Behavior is always changing.  It can get better or worse but it will never stay the same.  Behavior is fluid, not fixed and it changes according to the situation and the environment.  Think about our own behavior.  We behave differently at work then we do at home.  We have a different role and expectation when we are with our supervisor then when we are with our co-workers or subordinates.  Trained behaviors will fade or extinguish over time without consistent repetition and practice. What we don't use we lose.   Especially in cases of fear or aggression, although behavior may be modified, the dog is never “cured." A dog's behavior is ultimately the responsibility of the owner.

As a result of the changeability inherent in all behavior, it is unethical for any trainer to offer a client a guarantee of their dog’s future behavior. As a certified professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, I have willingly sworn not to do so.

The APDT Mission statement includes the following: “Member should refrain from giving guarantees regarding the outcome of training, because there is no sure way to guarantee the cooperation and performance of all parties involved and because the knowledge of animal behavior is incomplete.”
